Only 3.7% of Indians participate in equity markets. Financial products are complex, financial literacy is low, and for most young people, the idea of "investing" feels intimidating and out of reach. Zeffo was built to change that.

Founded by Avi Lele, a US-based serial FinTech entrepreneur, Zeffo takes a "zero-effort" approach to investing. When you make an everyday purchase, say a ₹270 pizza, Zeffo's algorithm rounds the transaction up to ₹300 and invests the spare ₹30 into a mutual fund. No complex decisions. No intimidating dashboards. Just effortless wealth-building from your pocket change.

Avi previously founded Stockpile, a fractional-share investing platform that raised $45 million from Fidelity, Mayfield Venture Funds, and even actor Ashton Kutcher. With Zeffo, he set out to bring the same democratising spirit to the Indian market, but he needed the right technical talent to make it happen.

The challenge

Finding the right developer, fast.
